Watersmeet – Set in one of Britain’s deepest river gorges this is an outstanding natural beauty near Lynmouth. Where two rivers meet sits Watersmeet House, a 19th century fishing lodge, now a National Trust tea-room. From The Lyn Valley Hotel, follow the river upstream to Watersmeet.

Valley of Rocks – Where Exmoor meets the sea, this is a spectacular valley formed during the ice age. It is home to wild goats and offers fantastic walks with dramatic sea and cliff views.

Croyde – Superb sandy beaches, old-world charm village, young surfing community, great area for walking.

Clovelly – One of the most famous villages in the world, wind your way down the steep cobbled street past whitewashed 16th century cottages to the harbour below.
